The adaptation of our cities to climate change is a major challenge of the 21st century. The Southern Region is strongly committed to this issue through its Climate Plan "Keeping a COP ahead" adopted in 2021, its SRADDET adopted in 2019 and various measures including our "Territoires d'abord" and "5 million trees" with the "Nature in the city" component.
Since 2017, the Region has been coordinating the Nature For City LIFE project,co-financed by the European Commission under the LIFE program.This project ends this year. On this occasion, the Southern Region is organizingwith the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis on June 15, the closing forumto share the final results of the project in the morning at the Maison de l'Etudiant Olivier Chesneau and in the afternoon in the form of urban walks and emblematicemblematic visits to Nature en ville sites.
