"Nature in the city is not just about looking pretty in the city," and in these times of climate change, nature provides many other services to help city dwellers live better. To change the preconceived ideas and mobilise its inhabitants, the city of Carros, partner of the Nature For City LIFE project with the Metropolis of Nice Côte d'Azur, has organised urban walks.
On a route starting from the microsite of the forest park to the square in front of the media library via the Magnolias garden, the inhabitants were able to discover the services provided by nature in terms of heat control, improvement of air quality, water management and flood risk reduction, provided they paid a little attention to it. All that remains now is to free the feet of the trees!
