On January 28 and 29, 2021, the Nature for City LIFE team participated in the seminar to act with the landscapes - resources of the Etang de Berre organized by researchers from POPSU AMP and the Ecole Nationale Supérieure de Paysage Versailles Marseille.
By taking the Etang de Berre as a field-laboratory, the Plateforme d'Observation des Projets et Stratégies urbaines de la Métropole Aix-Marseille-Provence (POPSU AMP 4) "le " Grand " Paysage comme Ressource(s) " questioned the driving role of action through the landscape in its link to the living to inform a development model that is a producer of a quality of habitability at the interface of issues of attractiveness, health and ecological quality based on the resources of its landscape.
In this context, a market seminar was organized in this territory to promote a better integration of nature in the urban project in a context of climate change. Accompanied by the Bureau des Guides du GR 2013, this seminar was part of the Nature For City LIFE project, coordinated by the SUD Region and in which the Metropole Aix Marseille Provence and the Bureau des Guides are partners.
At the end of the POPSU project, a booklet Métropole-paysage - Aix-Marseille-Provence, du récit métropolitain à l'action par le paysage has just been published. It tells how to "make the metropolis through the landscape" by calling for a metropolitan structuring over time where the landscape crystallizes a political narrative. The GR 2013 metropolitan trail embodies this desire of Aix-Marseille-Provence, by updating an ancient nature-culture link. It also opens up the potential to act with and through the landscape at a time when climate change is shaking up the frameworks of public action in its relationship with living things, which are now the guarantor of the territory's habitability.
The POPSU notebooks bring together the knowledge produced by the research-action work carried out by the Platform for Observation of Urban Projects and Strategies (POPSU) as part of the "Metropolises" program.
