A MOOC for a better understanding of the challenges of Nature in the city

From 10/23/2020 to 12/15/2020

In the training and awareness-raising tools developed by the Nature For City Life project, a MOOC or online course has been created to enable all the actors in the city to improve their skills.

Developed with the support of the Population Environment Development Laboratory (LPED) of the University of Aix-Marseille and other research laboratories, higher education institutions and teams from the South Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur Region, this MOOC is divided into two courses: an initial course and a further training course, which can be followed independently.

The objectives of this MOOC are multiple: to make known the different forms of nature in the city, to present the techniques of integration and management of nature in urban projects or to understand the urban strategies to be favoured in order to face climate change?

Open to all and free of charge, the two courses include 57 videos and numerous complementary teaching resources.

3 sessions of the MOOC Initial course have already taken place with 1,657 learners, many of whom have obtained the follow-up certificate issued when 50% of the thematic quizzes have been validated.

The advanced course has been put online from 15 June to 31 August 2020.

A new initial training session is currently online from 2 November to 15 December 2020. In order to be able to disseminate it as widely as possible, it has been translated into 4 other languages: English, German, Spanish and Italian.

So join us quickly and spread the word!
