The subject: Nature in the city and climate change: state of play and possible solutions
Within the framework of the Training of elected officials action, the Nature For City LIFE project and ARBE teams propose two webinars for the attention of the elected officials of the 3 metropolitan territories (but also to other territories);
Climate change is a reality and its consequences are already visible in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region: summer heat peaks, droughts, spread of diseases, deterioration of air quality, frequency and violence of natural disasters, etc. and it is now that we must adapt our territories to the impacts of change. Nature in the city offers a number of solutions: plants cool the atmosphere and create shade, participate in carbon storage, reduce the risk of flooding, improve the well-being and health of populations, etc.
So let's take action to prepare the "adapted" city, the time for discussion is over
With the Nature For City LIFE project, let's take action
The program of these two sessions :
Definition and illustrated presentation of the services provided by nature in terms of adaptation to climate change, the concepts of webs (green, blue, black, brown)
Feedback from concrete experiences on how to design development projects that improve the living environment and well-being.
The webinar will end with a question and answer session via chat.
