European closing forum on nature in the city
for adaptation to climate change
Wednesday June 15 2022, at the Maison de l'Etudiant
Olivier Chesneau in Nice
The adaptation of our cities to climate change is a major challenge of the 21st century. The Southern Region is strongly mobilized on this issue through its Climate Plan "Let's keep a COP ahead" adopted in 2021, its SRADDET adopted in 2019 and various schemes including in particular our "Territories First" and "1 million trees" with the "trees in the city" component.
Since 2017, the Region has been coordinator of the Nature For City LIFE project, co-financed by the European Commission as part of the LIFE program . As this project is coming to an end this year, The Southern Region is organizing a closing forum with the Nice Côte d'Azur Metropolis on June 15, 2022 to share the final results of the project with all stakeholders, in the morning at the Maison de l'Etudiant Olivier Chesneau and in the afternoon in the form of urban walks and emblematic visits to Nature in the City sites.
The Nature For City LIFE project associates the three regional metropolises, Aix-Marseille-Provence, Nice-Côte d'Azur and Toulon-Provence-Méditerranée, the City of Marseille, the University of Aix-Marseille and the associations AtmoSud and Bureau de Guides du GR2013.
We thank you to note this date in your agenda.
