The adaptation of our cities to climate change is a major challenge for the 21st century. The Southern Region is strongly mobilized on this issue through its Climate Plan "Let's keep a COP ahead" adopted in 2021, its SRADDET adopted in 2019 and various measures including "1 million trees planted in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region" with the "trees in the city" component.
As part of the Nature For City LIFE project financed by the European Commission's LIFE programme and for which the Region is coordinator, the Region is organising Act 2 of the European Forum on Nature in the City for adaptation to climate change on 8 October.
This Forum will be held in the morning at the Hôtel de Région in Marseille and in the afternoon in the form of urban walks.
Please find attached the programme.
