Training courses on the Life program in the Southern Region!

On May 14, the European Cooperation Department of the Southern Region and ARBE organized the fourth regional Inter-Life day.

The regional Interlife network brings together players who have already set up projects, or who are in the process of doing so, under the European LIFE environmental program. The aim is to share project management tools, best practices and advice. The network has taken up the habit of meeting every year for a day during which program news is presented and one of the projects is honored. This year, for example, the morning session provided an opportunity to look back on the Nature for City LIFE project, which over a 5-year period developed nature in the city as a means of adapting to climate change in the Southern Region.

In addition, the calls for projects, open until mid-September, for the following four sub-programs were presented:

- Nature and biodiversity

- Circular economy and quality of life

- Climate change mitigation

- Clean energy transition

In the afternoon, participants were able to follow Nicolas Mémain from the Bureau des Guides GR2013 on an urban hike through Marseille, as part of the Nature 4 City Life project.

The event helped to strengthen links between Life project leaders or future leaders in the Southern Region, and testifies to the strong regional momentum around this program. In fact, this year (2024), six new European projects featuring at least one partner from the region have been selected as part of this program - an unprecedented result !
