On Tuesday 05 June, the Bureau des Guides brought together the minds of scholars, scientists and other local stakeholders for an urban hike in a small group on the Palyvestre plain in Hyères.
The goal of the day? Exchanging, sharing, reflecting, crossing views and knowledge on this territory, and more particularly on the city-nature stakes of this one.
After crossing Hyères and its rich heritage of public and private parks and gardens, exploration continued on the Palyvestre, located between the Salins des Pesquiers and Toulon-Hyères airport, which hosts a wide variety of activities (leisure, horticulture, crafts, housing...). Located at an average altitude of 2 meters, it is particularly sensitive to the phenomena of erosion and submersion. from this collective emulation of the spirits led by Paul-Hervé Lavessière will emerge the construction of a story of this territory from which will be nourished the Guides' Office of the GR 2013 to restore it to the general public at the time of the next urban strolls to come as from the beginning of the 2018 school year.
This walk is part of EU Green Week 2018.
